May 10, 2016 Stranger Danger Alert
The Dearborn Heights Police Department is investigating stranger danger/suspicious activity by a white male, light brown hair with a goatee and glasses, in possibly a silver or gray Chevy Malibu that occurred on Tuesday, May 10th in the vicinity of Bedford Elementary School.  The man attempted to lure an elementary student into his car under the pretense, "Hey, your parents are in the hospital, come with me."  Please take this opportunity to speak with your child about the danger of talking to strangers and the importance of reporting suspicious incidents to you and the school.  If you have information to aid the police in their investigation, you may contact the Dearborn Heights Police Department at 313-277-6770.  
 
Parent /Teacher Conferences
Wednesday, May 11, 2016 form 1:00pm-4:00pm and evening times of 5:30-8:00. We look forward to seeing you there.

Half Day
Wednesday May 11th school will be dismissed at 11:00 am for Parent/ Teacher conferences.

Spring Concerts
There are two upcoming concerts, our Instrumental Music Concert will be on Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 pm and. Our Vocal Music Concert will be held on Wednesday May 25 at 7:00. Come and enjoy an evening or two full of Music.

Coaches Needed!
3 positions are available to coach football for the 2016 season at OW Best Middle School. Please contact Mr. Wiemer if you are interested.

Late Start Monday
May 2 and 16. and June 6.

Online Learning
The School Aid Act expands access to online learning options by allowing students in grades 5-12, with parent/guardian consent to take up to two online courses per semester. For more information please contact your students school guidance counselor.

Online Payment for Student Food Service Accounts and Other School Related Expenses
In an effort to make thing easier for families, D7 is pleased to announce online payments for student meal accounts. Beginning in September, parents can log in and use a credit card to post funds to their child's food services account as well as pay for activity fees, sports fees and other expenses. Students can type in their ID in the cafeteria line and the cost of their meal will be deducted from their account. See our web page for more information.
