M-STEP State Testing
This spring, all students at O.W. Best will be taking the M-Step (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress). The M-Step test includes summative assessments designed by the Michigan Department of Education  to measure student growth. This test replaces the 44 year old MEAP test that was previously administered in the fall. Most students at O.W. Best will be taking the M-Step online with their core subject teacher.

The M-Step testing window:

8th grade: Monday, April 13th – Friday, May 1st ***NEW *** 8th grade testing schedule

7th grade: Monday, April 27th – Friday, May 15th***NEW *** 7th grade testing schedule

6th grade: Monday, May 18th – Friday, June 5th**NEW *** 6th grade testing schedule

It is extremely important that your child attends school on the days he or she is testing. If a student is absent during an assessment, some of the required test components are not easily made up during a make-up session.

Practice tests for the upcoming M-Step language arts & math tests can be found at this web address: https://wbte.drcedirect.com/MI/portals/mi
