District No. 7 is constantly working to offer the best education to our community.  Delayed Start Mondays are part of a district-wide improvement project.  D7 staff have limited time to meet as teams to work on curriculum revisions, discuss the individual needs of students and to work on collective projects.  We have few professional development days where staff from all buildings can get together and collaborate. 

We have found these delayed starts to be a creative way to build this much needed time into our schedule. On twelve (12) Mondays throughout the year, the school day for students will be delayed one hour.  All district employees will report at their regular time and participate in school improvement work and team meetings. 

We realize that these delayed starts may cause difficulties for some of our families.  We hope that the community understands that this schedule allows the district the time it needs to implement improvements and build on the quality programs available to our students. 

We ask that families observe the delayed start on the following dates and not allow their children to come to school until the designated time.
