Summer Meals For Kids Program District 7 is once again offering the Summer Meals for Kids Program. The Summer Food Service Program is available to all children 18 years of age and under, and persons over 18 who participate in a public or non profit private school program established for the mentally or physically handicapped. D7 Announces the
Great School Readiness Program GSRP is a comprehensive Pre-School program that targets social and cognitive skills. The classes meet AM or PM and run Tuesday through Thursday. Classes are taught by a certified teacher and class size is capped at 16. It is funded though a grant from the Michigan Department of Education and is free to eligible D7 families. Online Payment for Student Food Service Accounts and Other School Related Expenses In an effort to make things easier for families, D7 is pleased to announce online payments for student meal accounts. Beginning in September, parents can log in and use a credit card to post funds to their child's food services account as well as pay for activity fees, sports fees and other expenses. Students can type in their ID in the cafeteria line and the cost of their meal will be deducted from their account. See our web page for more information.
Stimulus Bill and Wayne County Schools There is a great deal of confusion about how schools will benefit from the stimulus bill passes by congress in March. Wayne County RESA has produced this Stimulus Bulletin to help clarify the information. Please remember that the final funding plan has not been finalized by the State so this information is subject to change.
