The birds are chirping, the flowers are blooming, and our schools are buzzing with energy! April brings a fresh wave of excitement as we welcome spring and head into the final chapters of the school year. From classroom celebrations to outdoor learning and craft showcases, there’s so much to look forward to this month.
🌎 Celebrating Earth Day
Schools across the country will be participating in clean-up efforts, planting projects, and sustainability lessons throughout the week of April 22. Ask your student how their class is making a difference!
🧩 Autism Awareness Month
April is Autism Awareness Month, and we are proud to recognize and celebrate the unique strengths, talents, and perspectives of our students on the autism spectrum. Across the district, classrooms will engage in activities that promote inclusivity, understanding, and kindness.
🎓 Graduation Season Prep
Senior families—be on the lookout for information about cap and gown pickups, senior events, and graduation ceremonies. We’re proud of the Class of 2025 and excited to celebrate their accomplishments!
🩺 Health & Wellness Updates
Spring allergies are here! Please ensure your child’s emergency medications are current with the school nurse. Also, a reminder that students must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school to help keep everyone healthy.
🚶♀️ Walk to School Days
Take advantage of the warmer weather by walking or biking to school if you live nearby. It’s a great way to get moving, enjoy fresh air, and kickstart the day with energy!
🎧 Earbuds & Volume Safety
Students are using headphones more often for learning and entertainment. Remind them to keep volume at a safe level to protect their hearing now and in the future.
