April 2026
Dear D7 Families and Staff,
Welcome to the April edition of Leading D7: A Message from the Superintendent.
This month, I’m pleased to share highlights including our Annapolis High School Top 10 Graduates, AHS College and Career Day, upcoming opportunities for family engagement and enrollment, Rotary Bookshelf Build and a spotlight on Pardee Elementary.
With the arrival of spring, we are reminded of growth, renewal, and the many accomplishments worth celebrating across our district. As we move into the final months of the school year, we take special pride in recognizing our seniors as they prepare for life beyond high school—pursuing college, careers, military service, or other meaningful
opportunities.
Their journey to this point reflects perseverance, commitment, and determination. It also reflects the unwavering support of our families, educators, and staff who have played such an important role in guiding and encouraging them along the way. Thank you for the care, time, and dedication you continue to invest in our students each day.
As the season unfolds, I encourage all of us to take a moment to recognize these important milestones, appreciate the experiences that shape our school community, and remain focused on supporting every student’s path to success
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 Top 10 students! We are proud to celebrate this outstanding group from Annapolis High School. Notably, many of these students have been part of D7 since kindergarten, with others joining along the way—highlighting both the strength of our programs and the lasting impact of a consistent, supportive educational environment.

The Pardee Pandas have been very busy learning and growing! These last couple of months have been especially busy. We celebrated Black History Month with various activities including a “Wax Museum”. “Full STEAM Ahead” was our theme for “March is Reading Month.” As usual, Mrs. Tass came up with a super fun calendar of events
including contests, raffles, guest readers, and a chance for all students to select a book! Mrs.Tass always goes above and beyond to make reading FUN! The classroom doors were decorated and we had a fun Family Reading Night with various activities for our families to participate in. Another highlight of Reading Month was a visit from author Maria Dismondy.
April is off to a busy start as well. M STEP TESTING is in full swing. Our 4th and 5th grade classroom Spelling Bees were held and our Building Spelling Bee is up next to see who will represent Pardee at the D7 Spelling Bee on April 30th. Pardee will also be participating in the Rotary Bookshelf Project. Every 3rd grade student will receive a bookshelf with their name on it and books!
Finally, as part of our PBIS program, Pardee has been implementing Positive Office Referrals this year. Once we had a “bingo” so to speak, of 10 students, they were able to “scooter around the building” while the other students cheered them on!
Thank you for your Continued Support of D7!
